Albemarle County, VA – May 10 – A North Garden, Virginia man was killed Thursday afternoon following a fatal collision with a tractor-trailer.
The accident happened at approximately 2:50 p.m. on Route 29 near Covesville Road, reports NBC29.com.
Corey Morris, 34, drove his pickup truck across the median on Route 29 and struck the tractor-trailer head on, forcing the rig to overturn.
Morris was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer suffered minor injuries.
The road was closed for about six hours as a result of the crash. The Albemarle County Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Team is continuing to investigate the accident at this time.
