BMW is recalling 7,485 7-Series cars from model years 2005 to 2007, according to WSJ.com. The cars in question were built from Aug. 23, 2004 through Sept. 3, 2007. company discovered that a software malfunction could increase the chance of an accident, or even eject a passenger
The cars affected have optional features called Comfort Access and Soft Close Automatic doors and include 7,485 vehicles. The malfunction could cause the doors to open, even when they appear to be closed.
Dealers will begin updating the software next month, and concerned owners should contact BMW at 800-525-7417.
