Two Injured Following VA Car Accident | VA Tractor Trailer Attorney

April 18, 2012 by Parrish Law Firm, PLLC

Dinwiddie, V.A. – Apr. 18 – Two individuals were critically injured, one severely, in a tractor trailer accident on I-85 early Wednesday morning after the vehicle struck the Sycamore Street bridge at mile marker 68.

The car collision, which occurred within a close proximity just south of the I-95 interchange, happened at 3:16 a.m., according to the official police report. The Virginia Department of Transportation immediately sent an engineer to inspect the bridge and subsequent damage shortly after the crash.

As a consequence of the accident, the interstate’s southbound lanes were temporarily shut down and re-opened at approximately 7:30 a.m. Despite the lapse of time, the northbound traffic on the interstate failed to operate at a normal speed and only began to flow properly at 11:00 a.m.

Local police have charged Thomas L. Ore, 33, of Yadkinville, N.C. with reckless driving and failure to wear his seat belt.
