September 21, 2012 by The Parrish Law Firm

Virginia Beach, VA – September 21 – Two local teenagers were charged following a serious multi-vehicle car accident.

According to official reports by hamptonroads.com, the accident occurred on Sept. 9 around 8:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Lynnhaven Parkway.

Police said two cars, a 1998 Chevrolet Camaro and a 2006 Nissan Sentra, were racing when the accident occurred.

The Camaro, which was driven by an unidentified 17-year-old male, reportedly ran into the median and struck two trees after crossing Lishelle Place.

Officials said the Camaro then crashed into the Nissan, causing it to cross two lanes of traffic and hit a tree on the side of the road.

Two juvenile passengers were ejected from the Camaro upon impact. One victim was treated and released. The second victim suffered “massive injuries” and remains in critical condition.

The driver of the Nissan, Joseph B. Fisher III, 19, was charged with misdemeanor racing.

The driver of the Camaro was charged with felony racing and driving on a provisional license.

Both teens are currently being held without bond.
