New Poll Suggests U.S. Citizens Want Special Medical Malpractice Courts

June 1, 2012 by The Parrish Law Firm

A new poll suggested that many U.S. voters support the creation of special “health courts” to deal with medical malpractice lawsuits, reports The Hill.

The poll, conducted by Common Good, says that 75% of those who responded think that medical malpractice lawsuits in the United States are driving up the cost of medical care and insurance coverage, as well as driving away good doctors.

Further, 66% of those polled were in favor of creating specialized courts to deal with U.S. medical malpractice lawsuits.
