Virtran Express Tractor Trailer Driver Charged With Reckless Driving

Franklin County, VA – June 6 – A tractor-trailer driver received charges Wednesday morning after his vehicle blocked off Route 220.
According to official reports by WSLS.com, the accident occurred when Scottie McGuire, who was working for VIRTRAN Express at the time of the accident, ran his tractor-trailer over a “slick spot.”
This caused the vehicle to “jackknife” on the road.
Officials said the incident caused Route 220 to be blocked off for about two and a half hours.
McGuire was wearing his seat belt and was not injured in the accident.
Virginia State Police have charged McGuire with reckless driving and failure to maintain control of his vehicle.
